India

I first visited India on a cultural visit to Aurangabad with the Royal Watercolour Society in 2007,  working alongside some of India’s leading artists. It was this first visit that started me on the journey to create and be inspired by even brighter more intense colours and it was also this visit that led me to expand my imaginary subject matter and sources to create ideas and work based on Eastern patterns.

After the cultural visit to Aurangabad I have painted a lot in India visiting it numerous times travelling to Mumbai, Aurangabad, the caves at Ellora and Ajanta, (Visiting twice The Golden Triangle) Agra and the Taj Mahal, Jaipur, Delhi, Fatephur Sikri, Varanasi, Orchha, Khajuraho,Amritsar, Shimla, Dharamsala.
